Destry Abbott Continues His Role as Rekluse® Ambassador
Boise, ID (September 1, 2015) – Rekluse is pleased to announce their continued partnership with racing legend Destry Abbott.
Abbott has been running Rekluse products for nearly a decade, and he first became a Rekluse ambassador and spokesman in 2014. “I’m really excited to be part of the Rekluse Family! I’ve been using Rekluse products pretty much since they started and I know they’re a huge part of race wins and championships for me,” Abbott said. “As most people know I’m all about family and that’s how I treat my DA8 brand. Rekluse is the same way and I really believe that’s what makes them so successful, along with reinventing what people thought was possible with the clutch components.”
In addition to his multiple championship titles across various disciplines, Abbott’s approachable demeanor and contagious enthusiasm for dirt bikes have made him a valuable addition to the Rekluse team.
“We are excited to continue working with Destry,” said Alison Kelsey, Director of Marketing and International Sales at Rekluse. “He is an incredibly talented rider, with 10 major championships and 8 gold medals from the International Six Days Enduro. He has a reputation as one of the most diverse riders in the industry. Consequently, he has an entire career worth of insight that helps us further develop innovative clutch technology.”
In the following year, fans of both Rekluse and Abbott will have opportunities to interact with them in new ways. “We’re working on some exciting new promotions,” said Rekluse’s Pro Support Manager, Austin Paden. “Destry is a legend and just a great person to be around, so we want to give fans a chance to interact with him.”
Abbott has been expanding his efforts to instruct other riders through his DA8 riding school (www.DA8Ridingschools.com) and training facility in Arizona. His commitment to the future of the sport creates a great partnership for Rekluse. Destry’s years of experience—from Enduro Cross to the ISDE—presents many exciting opportunities to engage with up and coming riders as well as die hard Off-Road fans.
