"New England is known for its nasty, brutal woods with endless rocks, roots, mud and hill climbs. I believe that this is where your product truly shines and that anyone that gives the Rekluse a fair shot will come away loving the product." -- John Morrison, 3-time NETRA Vet A Champ

"I installed it Sat. evening at the race, worked fantastic right out of the box. I had an EFM several years ago so I thought I knew what to expect but it clearly exceeded my expectations. It was a tight twisty track and it worked flawless. I rode the best I ever have, and I am sold permenantly on this clutch." -- Wayne Faddis, co-owner Moto Tours Costa Rica

Rekluse ProStart Clutch with Torq Drive

To get a smooth initial take-off, a traditional centrifugal clutch will slip between 1500 and 2500 RPM under hard acceleration. This slip at low RPM smooths out the torque pulses you normally feel when rolling on the throttle from low RPM.

The ProStart with Torq Drive gives a smooth initial take-off and then hits hard, delivering all of the engine’s torque to the rear wheel. With Torq Drive, the rider can feel the engine’s torque acceleration as the ProStart matches the torque output of the Harley-Davidson engine.

Torq Drive is a patent-pending technology from Rekluse Motor Sports. The Rekluse pressure plate is specially designed to generate this special torque matching capability. As RPMs are increased above idle, centrifugal force pushes the balls up the ramps and forces the pressure plate down, engaging the clutch. From approximately 1100 to 1350 RPM the clutch engages smoothly through the steep part of the ball ramp. Above 1350 RPM, the Torq Drive feature engages matching the torque production of the motor and providing ultimate performance.

The following chart shows the linear engagement of a traditional auto clutch versus the torque matching capability of Torq Drive.
